The production process of carbon steel plates usually includes several major links such as raw material preparation, molten steel smelting, continuous casting, rolling, heat treatment and surface treatment.

First of all, before producing carbon steel plates, raw materials need to be prepared. Raw materials are usually obtained from iron ore, scrap steel, manganese ore, etc. through a series of ore beneficiation, smelting, smelting and other processes.

The processed raw materials are then put into a blast furnace for smelting. The materials in the blast furnace undergo high-temperature combustion and smelting reactions to separate the iron elements in the iron ore from other elements and form liquid molten steel.

Next, the refined molten steel is continuously cast through a continuous casting process. Continuous casting is a method of continuous casting of liquid steel into a crystallizer in a continuous casting machine. In the crystallizer, the molten steel gradually cools and solidifies to form a continuous steel billet.

Then, the steel billet obtained by continuous casting is rolled. Rolling is to pass the steel billet through the roller table of the rolling mill, allowing it to undergo plastic deformation and finally form the required thickness and width of the steel plate. Hot rolling or cold rolling is often used in the rolling process to obtain different properties and surface quality.

After rolling is completed, the steel plate usually needs to be quenched and tempered through a heat treatment process. Heat treatment is to heat the steel plate to a certain temperature and then cool it quickly to improve the mechanical properties and organizational structure of the steel plate.

Finally, in order to improve the surface quality and corrosion resistance of the steel plate, surface treatment is also required. Common surface treatment processes include pickling, galvanizing, spraying, etc. to increase the corrosion resistance and appearance quality of steel plates.

The above are the main links in the production process of carbon steel plates. Different manufacturers and product requirements may vary, but the overall process is generally similar. Through the above process, carbon steel plates with reliable quality and stable performance can be produced to meet the needs of different industries for steel plates.
